We have been experimenting with the Steam Chat as an eventual replacement for Teamspeak.
I am the titular owner of our Teamspeak, and pay the fees.
if you have bought X-plane or FSX-SE, you WILL have a Steam Account.
As far as we can tell, everybody has expressed an interest in purchasing FS20, and this has prompted us towards doing this, that, and the constant need to pay for services.
As a heads up...
We are going to a much cheaper host for the website, Teamspeak WILL die through lack of paying for it, We are going to migrate to a non-windows server, so JFS will also go.
Flight plans will continue as usual, on the website, as far as we can tell, without knowing the format YET of FS20 plans.
We will spend a bit of time trying to get everybody up to speed with this from time to time
Once EVERYBODY is conversant with its foibles, we expect to change to it.
Voice quality is FANTASTIC, no choppiness, no dropouts, very low ping.
TS will run alongside as a backup until its money runs out.
BTW--!!! FS20 IS available via Steam for prepay, and will be available for download on the 18th.
Light Amphibs or old slow Amphib Twins.
Start point is CYKJ at Key Lake.
Yes, this is up on that massive granite slab of rock that covers most of Northern Canada, the North pole and most of Greenland.
Kickoff will be full daylight and summer.
if we pick winter, its will be white everywhere, and finding airports problematical.
